Plastic Meccano Models

A Collection of Models made mainly with the original Plastic Meccano introduced in the 1960s at our Hands-On Workshops.

They were built and usually designed by children aged between and 16, sometimes, but not always without assistance from adults.

As a matter of policy only forenames are collected from the builders.

Hawk eyed viewers will spot a few parts from the modern Junior Meccano and other compatible systems.

Models made at the 37th. Annual Steam and Vintage Machinery Show at Oswestry, June 2015. Nearly all are original designs and were made with little help from adults.
